Scrappin' with my Bug Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to Scrappin' with my Bug's birthday blog hop!!!  I am so happy to be a part of this hop!Michelle is an extremely talented lady who has taught me so much.  When I look at her projects I feel inspire.  It's definitely great that so many ladies have gotten together to creatively celebrate her birthday! Thanks for inviting me Michelle!!! :)

You should have arrived here from Jenny's blog and if you happen to stumble upon my blog, you can go to Michelle's blog to start the hop.  You don't want to miss any of the wonderful projects!

The them for this blog hop was to use any one or more of Michelle's favorite things.  I decided to use a Greeting Farm stamp and Pink by Design stamps. Believe me, she had a very long list, but I decided to stick with just two things! ;-)

I made this shadowbox as a gift to Michelle since she loooooves sweets so much!!! (SURPRISE MICHELLE!!!). I used the Cupcake Anya digi stamp from Greeting farms and colored it with my prismacolor pencils (yes... I'm cheating on my cricut!).  I also used a couple of the stamps from Pink by Design's A Cupcake for You stamp of the month collection.  The cupcake inside the frame is from this stamp set as well as the sentiment.  Both papers inside the frame are from a Martha Steward.

I used zapdots to give the images dimension

I used this sheet from a Martha Steward cardstock stack and
cut each of the cupcakes to glue to the outside of the frame.

Here's the card I made for Michelle:

I used another paper from Martha Steward to cut out the front image for the card.
I am just loving this Martha Steward birthday collection!!!!

The inside of the card is stamped from a sentiment from the
PBD A Cupcake for You collection.

Now what's a blog without blog candy!!! I am giving away this cute Crazy Daisy background stamp from Pink by Design to one lucky winner.

All you have to do is be a follower on my blog and leave a comment below. Don't forget to wish the birthday girl a very happy birthday!  That's it!!!  Now head on over to the fabulous Theresa's blog.  I hope everyone has a beautiful day and God bless!!!

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

Welcome to another Joy's Life Design Team Thursday! This week we are making something that reminds us of summer.  I decided to make a cute card that reflected my childhood memories of waiting for the ice cream truck while we played outside my grandma's house in Chicago (I lived in Puerto Rico, but went to Chicago every summer).  I used a digi from DigiStamp Boutique and colored it using my prismacolor pencils.  The cherry paper was from some scraps that I had and I also used Joy's Life Yummy Puns Stamp set.  I thought it was just perfect sentiment for this image! You can check out all of Joy's Life AWESOME stamp sets by clicking here.  I added a little glossy accent to the cherries and used the same cherry cardstock to make the i-top brads.

Hope you enjoyed my little summer/friend card! Have a beautiful Thursday and God bless!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #7

Welcome to another Whimsical Wednesday Challenge! This week it's all about going back to basics and not using the cricut. Can you imagine doing such a thing? LOL! What did we do before the cricut?  Do you remember?  I certainly don't.  I got into scrapbooking and crafting when I learned about the cricut, so for me it's unknown.  After a couple of years of crafting I have learned so many different techniques and methods that I've also learned that you can be just as creative without it.  The cricut just opens up your creativity a bit more.

For my project, I made this card for a special friend.  I used a digi from The Greeting Farm and just colored it with my prismacolor pencils.  I also added a little bling to it. The sentiment is from KinderstampO stamp from her vintage birthday collection.

Don't forget to check out the other designer's blogs and to link up your back to basics project on the Whimsical Wednesday blog!  Today's challenge is being sponsored by no other than moi! (hehehe).  You can win this awesome friends lacing card kit by Cosmo Cricket.  I'm also adding 3 sets of ribbons to go along with it.

  .
Hope you all have a Whimsical Wednesday and God bless!

Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #4

Happy Monday everybody and welcome to another Scrapbookaholic by Abby challenge.  The challenge this week was to create a bag or box with Hello Kitty.  I found this Hello Kitty digi stamp at Pieces of Ali n' Me.  I used the Once upon a princess cartridge to cut the bag and colored the digi with my prismacolor pencils.  I also used crystla stickles on the edge of the stamp, which I TOTALLY LOVED because it made it look somewhat greenish with went very well with the color of the bag.  The stamp, I honestly couldn't tell you where it's from because I've had it for a long time (and before I got myself organized!)

Don't forget to link your project to Abby's blog.  She has an amazing giveaway this week!  Have a great day and God bless!

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

Welcome back everybody! It is Joy's Life Design Team day and I am using Joy's You're So Punny's Dropping you a line stamp.  I found this cute digi at DigiStamp Boutique and it just went perfect with this sentiment.  You can click here to view her full line of stamps.  They are awesome and you don't want to miss playing with them.  Her punnys are just so cute!

I have been trying to practice my prismacolor pencil coloring and techniques, so my cricut has been put in the backburner for a bit and it might stay there for a while since I am just loving coloring images!! However, you should be seeing me using very soon cut files as I have received an ecraft!!! I was very lucky to have a sister that tried to get into crafting and it just didn't work out with her (hehe!), so in the next few weeks, I'm going to be playing with it and showing you what I come up with.

You can check out the rest of the design team by clicking on their names below, they are awesome!

Thanks for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful Thursday! God bless!

Joy's Life Design Team Thursday

Welcome to another one of Joy's Life Design Team Thursday! This week we are concentrating on Mother's day.  I made this cute little basket full of strawberries and inside the strawberries there are some chocolate hershey's kisses!  I actually got the idea of the strawberries from my good friend Kimi at Lovebug Creations.  I had the basket laying around so I just decorated it with some ribbon and then used the sentiment berry best wishes from Joy's Yummy Puns stamp set.  The sentiment goes so well with this project, I couldn't pass it up!  You can check out her stamp products by clicking here.  They are awesome stamps and fun to create with. You don't want to miss out on them!

Winner of the Fruits of the Spirit Blog Hop

I was so happy to be a part of this blog hop and to see all the spiritual inspiration that was out there.  It was a good reminder of what we need to have in our day to day lives to get closer to God and to show others what they may need and we may not even know it.  Maybe some love, kindness and even patience!  I pray that you are were filled with the spirit by what all the ladies had to say.  I know I was!  Thanks to everyone for their beautiful comments.  I know I enjoyed reading all those RAK!

Now for the winner... Random.org chose #12  Lillian Child said...

Thanks Lillian, please email me at scrappyzeni@gmail.com with your mailing address so I can get your Joy's Life stamps out to you.  Hope everyone has a great day and God bless!
